Relaxation in the forest is such an important part of my life. On many different levels. Not only it brings me rest and calmness, but it also helps me to let all my worries go. It helps me to connect with Mother Earth and experience her unconditional love.
Oh, how I love being in the forest. Here is a poem inspired by one of my trips to the woods:
Relax
In the rustle of the trees,
the magic of being
whispers softly:
“Slow down,
slow down.”
Hence, I stop
and I listen to
the primaeval melodies
enchanted within
the vibration of the leaves,
the cracking of the bark,
and the song of the birds
that live in the crowns
of birches, oaks and beeches.
I lie down
onto a green blanket
made of moss
and I breathe,
I breathe.
I look into
the endless eyes
of the Universe
and I put down the roots
through which
I receive
the Love
of Mother Earth.
I exist.
Odpoczynek
W szeleście drzew -
magia istnienia
szepce cichuteńko:
“Zatrzymaj się,
zatrzymaj.”
Przystaję więc
i słucham:
pradawnych melodii
zaklętych
w drganiach liści,
w skrzypieniu kory
i w śpiewie ptaków,
które mieszkają
w koronach brzóz,
dębów i buków.
Kładę się
na zielonym kocu,
utkanym z mchu
i oddycham,
oddycham.
Patrzę
w nieskończone oczy
Wszechświata
i zapuszczam korzenie,
przez które przyjmuję
Miłość
od Matki Ziemi.
Jestem.

A beautiful poem – the joy of birdsong and paying closer attention to the daily progress of spring in the garden is such a comfort.
